Professor of Social Work
Professor Clarke was known as a pioneer of social work education and is given considerable credit for the establishment of the School of Social Work at the University of Wisconsin in 1946. She wrote a number of important publications, with her first major work Social Legislation published in 1940, with a second edition in 1957. Beginning in 1936, Clarke served for several years on the credit union's Board of Directors.
